It is with heavy hearts, but also with confidence that it is the right thing to do, that we have decided to postpone the Jubeelee scheduled for this Saturday due to concerns over COVID-19.
We are so grateful to the businesses and families who have donated items already for the event as well as to the parent musicians who volunteered to perform. At this time, we do plan to reschedule the Jubeelee to a future date. Out of respect for many local restaurants who had collectively volunteered to make food for the 250 attendees, we are making this decision today to prevent the waste that could occur with a last-minute decision. We are hopeful that the restaurants will again be willing to partner with us once we have a new date for the event. We will certainly need food to go with all of the local beverages that were also donated!
We would like to express our most sincere appreciation to Amy Aiken and Lisa Manning along with their Asheville Primary School co-chairs, Laura D’Angelo and Jessica deBettencourt as well as all of YOU who have helped in gathering donations and planning for this event. This team of parent volunteers has been working on this event since last summer, always trying to make it more fun, more inclusive, and more successful.
